Casco Viejo This is an international UN heritage district of Panama City. There exists an even older district that served as the original settlement. It is a well preserved set of ruins in a park setting. The first city site was apparently too vulnerable to attack by pirates (and others) so the city center was moved to a more defensible location ... Casco Viejo. Check it out! This area has become rather "pricey" as a heritage restoration district. The government has been offering many incentives to investors who purchase and renovate. |
